Week Twenty-Six

The countdown has moved into the double digits—less than 100 days to go...!

Jude is moving around like crazy these days! Sometimes I think it borders on harassment, especially when it comes to the movements that feel more like wriggling fingers and toes opposed to the big kicks and flips. Are you trying to tickle me, little man, or what?? In reality, I of course appreciate the reassurance of a happy and thriving baby! I'm so excited to meet the little guy.

This was the first week in awhile that I didn't gain any weight, which is definitely a good thing considering that I've gained something like ten pounds since week eighteen!! I think that puts me at 12-14 lbs gained so far. Yikes...

On the nursery front, I went ahead and ordered the crib I mentioned in the last post, and paid only $6 more than I did for Logan's. I've also decided to make coordinating bedding for the boys, and I officially have all of my fabrics for that! I'm excited to share more once it's underway!

Here's the belly this week.

26 Weeks

My tank top rides up if I pull it tight around the top of my bump, so from here on out I think I'll use my hand to outline the top of my belly.

Here's a little sketch from The Bump {is it just me, or does this drawing look like a miniature monk?!?} and an update for the week. Still having the Braxton Hicks, so there ya go!
Don't panic if your uterus suddenly starts tightening and relaxing -- Braxton Hicks contractions often begin around this time. They're simply your body's way of practicing and preparing for labor. (If the contractions are regular or particularly painful, call your doc just to be sure it's not the real thing.)

Just came across your blog : ) Congrat's on the new baby on the way! I just had a baby girl 3 months ago and life with her is so much sweeter : ) On another note...I'm originally from Southern California, now living in Atlanta, and Santa Barbara was my top place to visit. Oh how I miss it!
